Our Nursery and Primary 1 pupils swapped their indoor classrooms for the school gardens this week for a hands-on, muddy-hands adventure in basic botany!
As part of our commitment to experiential “learning by doing,” our young learners spent the morning examining leaf patterns, studying soil textures, and planting their very own tiny seeds in individual pots. Armed with magnifying glasses and plenty of curiosity, the children learned how water, sunlight, and a little bit of patience help a seed grow into a strong plant.
The excitement was contagious as the children promised to gently care for and water their new green friends every single morning. Keep an eye out for these little pots coming home next week so you can watch them bloom together!
Teacher’s Note: “Seeing the wonder in their eyes when they touch the soil and connect classroom lessons to the real world is exactly why we love what we do. Our pupils aren’t just memorizing science—they are feeling it, exploring it, and living it!”
